Process

How a design project works

Brief, first design, revisions, then print-ready files. You approve each step.

1. Brief and quote

You tell us what the pieces are, the sizes, the text and the deadline. We ask about anything missing, such as the printer or the brand files, and send a written quote with the number of pieces, revision rounds and a delivery date. Nothing starts until you accept it.

2. First design

We design the main piece first, usually the largest or the most important one, and send it as a PDF to mark up. This is where the look is set, so comments on color, type and image are most useful now.

3. Revisions and the rest of the set

We apply your markups, then adapt the approved look to the other pieces in the set. Each round of changes is listed in the quote; extra rounds are priced before we do them.

4. Files for print and screen

Final files are built to your printer's specs: size, bleed, color mode and format. We check fonts, image resolution and crop marks before sending, and add screen versions if you ordered them.

Printer proofs

Ask your printer for a proof on important jobs. Screens and paper show color differently, and a proof is the only reliable check before the full run.

Have a campaign or print job coming up? Tell us what it is, the sizes, the print run and the date it has to be in hand.
